Have you taken allergy shots to fight eczema?

Allergy shots would only improve your eczema if it is being caused by dust/mites, grass, trees, weeds, molds allergies as this is what would be in your allergy shot serum. Beware that shots do not work for everyone and are over prescribed by doctors.
Personally, my eczema was "cured" (97% gone) when I stopped eating wheat (tested positive for allergy) - not because of allergy shots (which I did twice by two different allergy doctors over several years). Also, I was finally patch tested by a dermatologist for common ingredients in soaps, lotions, etc. It turns out that there were products I was using that were irritating my skin which I now stopped using. This also helped with the dry, itching skin.
Before I would consider the long term commitment of allergy shots, I would get tested for wheat by an allergist and get patch tested by the dermatologist and make those changes first.
Yes, I took allergy shots for eczema due to allergy to cats & trees. It worked, well! I love allergy shots. They don't hurt, and they help SO MUCH!
Use goat milk soap for eczema and Tea Tree lotion, i bought mine from www.dandesoap.com. They also carry a Eczema lotion cake that I have used. I have no Eczema now and no scars either.
As for the other allergies, I took Echinecea to boost my immune system, however you only take it 6 weeks then you stop for a week and then you can take it another 6 weeks if your allergies have not subsided.
Immune therapy has helped others that I know, but I was more willing to use the above first. It's was cheaper and it was natural and I didn't have to be stuck with a needle or run back and forth to the doctor. But I say that if the above fails, then definitely try it.
