There are a lot of things that can benefit the kidneys... there is Cranberry, Juniper Berry, Corn Silk, Uva Ursi, Vitamin C, and most of the B vitamins may help.

As far as that drinking beer, I would recommend checking with your doctor. that doesn't sound good.
Your liver primarily helps to filter out alcohol... but if your kidneys actually hurt when you drink, it could be something much worse than normal.
don't drink alot of beer just drink water
Drink 5 liters of water every day
Stop drinking alcohol and drinking plenty of water, juice, eat veggies, fruits, and stay away from salt, high protein and red meat. Its hard on the kidney to digest red meat and too much salt is not good either. Salads, pasta, rice, potatoes, fish, chicken, eggs and dairy, yogurt is excellent for you!
As for the burning...I'm not sure but here's what you can do to keep them healthy
Keep control of your blood sugar levels with the help of your doctor or pharmacist.
Ask your doctor about regular urine and blood tests to monitor your kidney function.
Check your blood pressure regularly - your doctor can advise you on your target blood pressure and how often to check.
Eat a healthy diet - your doctor or dietitian can advise you on the best foods for you to choose or avoid.
Try to quit smoking.
Exercise regularly.
The complications of high blood pressure are serious. You may be aware that high blood pressure can lead to a stroke or heart attack, but did you know that it could also cause kidney damage? If you already have kidney disease, maintaining a healthy control of your blood pressure can help protect your kidneys.
Water, Cranberry juice. Don't drink sodas or too many caffienated drinks because they can dehydrate you. Not too much alcohol either.
Also lemonade is good for dissolving stones because of the acid in it.
