Herpes can look like the pictures online OR a simple crack in the the skin. Have a blood test done. Since this has been happening for 4 months, the blood test should be able to pick up a sufficient amount of the herpes antibodies. I hope this helps and good luck.
Get a second opinion from a female doctor.
It's razer burn or a mild outbreak.
Your doctor would not tell you that if it were not true. Besides, you have been fortunate enough to not have experienced a full blown episode where multiple lesions break out and resemble the chicken pox. This usually happens if your immunity becomes suppressed due to stress or a cold or infection. Another thing? Just because one your partners has never shown signs of having herpes does not mean one of them is not a carrier. Do not have sex while you have the lesions on you because even though your boyfriend has never had it or thinks he doesn't have it, you will surely infect him. There will always be the chance you can infect him if you do not use a condom each and every time you have sex or get on the drug Valtrex. You are contagious even if you do not have a lesion. It will be your responsibility to tell every sexual partner you ever have to protect him.
They don't bleed and the blisters are really really small and no they don't look like the scary pics on line, so don't pay attention to that. If the doc says it's herpes, it's herpes. How old are you? You can have breakouts right after your period that is normal and stress can bring on breakouts. Get a scrip for Valtrex and some cream called Zorivak. Both will help you tremendously! It doesn't matter if your old boyfriend never had a breakout....he could be a carrier. Over 25% of adults in this country have herpes, it's an epidemic and nothing to be ashamed of, you can still live your life, good luck. Make sure to wash your hands after applying cream or scratching and don't rub your eyes, you can get it in your eyes and that is bad news.
well probably have herpes the just are no it active right witch could explain y u are not bleeding. herpes have a active period witch they or more likely to get caught my you sexual partner.
and you could always use a second a opinion
Genital herpes is a STD caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1 and type 2. Most genital herpes is caused by type 2. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers that may take 2weeks or a month to heal, the first time they occur. Typically, another outbreak can appear weeks or months after the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. Although the infection can stay in the body indefinitely, the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years.
Genital herpes infection is more common in women than in men. This may be due to male-to-female transmissions being more likely than female-to-male transmission.
Genital herpes can cause recurrent painful genital sores in many adults, and herpes infection can be severe in people with suppressed immune systems. Regardless of severity of symptoms, genital herpes frequently causes psychological distress in people who know they are infected.
In addition, genital herpes can cause potentially fatal infections in babies. It is important that women avoid contracting herpes during pregnancy because a first episode during pregnancy causes a greater risk of transmission to the baby. If a woman has active genital herpes at delivery, a cesarean delivery is usually performed. Fortunately, infection of a baby from a woman with herpes infection is rare.
There is no treatment that can cure herpes, but antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. In addition, daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners.
Get a second opinion. Those bumps sound more like what commonly happens with a bit of irritation (such as a tampon string rubbing or too tight jeans). Herpes blood tests vary in their specificity. A lot of people have herpes antibodies and never develop genital herpes. The blood test might not have been type-specific for genital herpes either.
I wish my outbreaks were like yours. Sounds like a mild case.
The photos online tend to be of severe cases. for most people, myself included, we just get those little red bumps. I've NEVER bled, nor have they been blisters. Red bumps, just like you said, and mildly itchy. Damn herpes!
While there is no direct link between your period and them that I know of, they do speculate that a few different things, stress, certain diet, sexual activity, can trigger the symptoms.
If your doctor swabbed it, ran a culture, and the results came in, then trust him. If he diagnosed it by eye, I'm not saying don't trust him, but maybe get another opinion.
absolutely get a blood test to confirm if it is herpes. there is no way to confirm that it is or isn't simply by looking at the lesions. and not all people with herpes have breakouts so either one of you partners could have it and not know. it is not something that is screened for on a regular physical.
