2 questions about blood. Not gross questions.?
Question:
But other people say that blood is red.
What is the REAL word?
And what colour are your cells?
Answers:
The first of your questions (is blood ever blue) is amazingly common. The short answer is NO. Blood is always a shade of red (bright red when it is oxygenated, and a darker maroon when it's deoxygenated).
Veins definitely do LOOK blue though. The reason for this is that as light heads towards the veins, the blue wavelengths are scattered back to you eye, whereas the redder wavelengths are mostly absorbed by the blood. So, since only blueish wavelengths reach your eye, the veins look blue.

As for the colour of cells... that depends on the type of cell. Red blood cells really are a little red, for instance, or if the cell contains a lot of lipid, it'll tend to be yellowish. Most are a sort of beige, off-white colour though, if you really want a rough answer!
Blood really is red, it just looks blue through the vein walls.
Uh... I think your VEINS are blue... and your blood cells are pinkish/red
Blood is red in its true colour. Blood is in a plasma liquid that contains water and blood clots. Water has samples of oxygen in it, so this means blood would always be making contact with "air". Blood may appear blue if you look at your veins.
