I have an underactive thyroid and need medicine for it but cant afford it.?

Question:
does anyone knoe of any programs in washington state that can help me. or even some kind of alternative. i am always tired and lately it feels like it is getting worse.

Answers:
Contact your state health department and department of human services, or the department of social and health services.

http://www.doh.wa.gov/

http://www.co.washington.or.us/deptmts/h...

http://www1.dshs.wa.gov/

If one of these agencies cannot help you, they should be able to direct you to an agency that can.

Or try:

Untreated hypothyroidism may be dangerous. Please find help!
call 1 800 free meds or med and check online also
and ask if you qualify
they usually only help those who don't have any
insurance ( none at all )
Contact your local hospitals and they may be able to point you to a program or clinic. Once you do get a prescrition for meds, I believe Walmart carries generics for only $4.00. However, you may get the meds free depending on the program.
