Someone said I am lactose intolerant, but I like milk?

Question:
Does this mean I am a bad person or is this person just being the mean one? I don't want to be thought of someone who discriminated against milk

Answers:
LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Why is everyone answering this seriously. Isn't it a joke?
If you are truely lactose intollerant, there are alternatives. Soy milk, rice milk, or take lactaid before drinking.
Lactose intolerant means that your body can't handle dairy products. Only a doctor can diagnose you as lactose intolerant so that person was just being rude by saying that. Even if you are lactose intolerant there are dairy substitutes that you can eat instead. If dairy products don't make you sick then that means that you aren't lactose intolerant so just ignore that person.
It could be that your body reacts in a negative fashion to dairy products, i myself am lactose intolerant but when i eat ice cream and such i will get abdominal cramps. Other allergic reactions may include restriction of breathing, itchiness, inflammation of the affected areas who knows...

If you tend to find that after you have dairy products you have gas [like an hour or so afterwards] then you are most likely lactose intolerant. Maybe that person wasn't trying to be rude, maybe it only came out sounding that way b/c that was the only way that person knew how to tell you to stop eating dairy.
Milk is for baby cows. By the time you are 3yrs old you start to have an intolerance for milk. But the dairy association has to make money so they try to cram it down everyone's throats and say how beneficial it is. Try soy, or rice milk. If you have to drink milk then try the Lactaid brand of milk.
As Ju!cY (and my allergy doctor) said, cow's milk is for baby cows. There is a difference between "lactose intolerant" and "allergic to dairy products". Generally, lactose intolerance will cause intestinal type problems, like gas, bloating, cramping, diarrhea. For me, my dairy allergies cause a really bad headache, but not until the next day. For my son, he gets really stuffed up and headachy. We both love milk and all dairy products. My daughter, on the other hand, has never liked milk or many other dairy products and I have never pushed her to have them since I knew we had allergies. (I made her eat lots of broccoli that is full of calcium instead...) Unfortunately, many times we really love and crave the very foods we are allergic to, which really makes it hard to stay away from them. As other people have said, for lactose intolerance you can try Lactaid; there is even a Lactaid brand milk. I like rice milk; it's a little sweet, so it really tastes good on cereal. I have just learned through trial and error what I can and can't get away with eating/drinking, and how much of it. So for me, no ice cream, milkshakes, Frosties, homemade pudding. I can have a very small glass of milk with my Oreos. : ) Cheese doesn't seem to bother me, but it bothers my brother to the point he doesn't eat it any more; he's pretty much completely dairy-free.

Now we've all given you serious answers to your (possibly) tongue-in-cheek question about lactose intolerance vs. milk discrimination. : )
Peanuts accept the rejection better than milk, give it a chance.
Does this person who say that you are lactose intolerant really know for sure? If you want to be sure, you should go for medical tests by your doctor.

You may have grown up with cow's milk and that's why you like the taste very much. There is nothing wrong with that. However, try rice or soya milk. The taste is different but they are also delicious.

There is nothing wrong with being lactose intolerant. It is not a disease. There are many many people out there who have the same condition. At least if you know about your condition, you can take the appropriate measures to prevent health related problems.
