Does anyone know what a pea-sized lump under skin could be?

Question:
I have a pea-sized lump...feels like a smal lymph node located right next to my ear, under the skin. Its right where a side burn would be. It doesn't hurt at all. But I keep feeling it and wondering if it could be cancer. Anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Answers:
My dad had one in a similar place, his turned out to be a cyst. He got it removed and hasn't had another since. I'd say get it checked out just to be safe.
I have fatty lumps in several places on my body. They have been there for years and have not changed. My doctor says they are quite common. I don't think there should be a lymph node in the location you indicate. I would have it looked at on your next medical appointment just to be sure.
cysts fatty lump best to go it checked out and good luck
