I had an hiv test in feb '06 and it was negative.?

Question:
I was tested and it was negative, but lately I have been experiencing severe shortness of breath and joint pain. I was told that these are symptoms of hiv. I am 54 years old and I DO have arthritis , but I was told that that is a symptom of hiv.

Answers:
if i was you to reassure yourself pop back to the gp's if you have been exposed to bodily fluids which you think may have hiv and get another blood test done for peace of mine, hope all works out okay :-)
Why do you think so negative? Did you were in a risky situation? If so be valient and get the test... Im pretty sure that you are ok...
If nothing else than your peice of mind get tested every six months, which is actually what a lot of people are doing. it keeps you safe and it is better to know for sure if are positive than just hiding from the fact that you might be. You can always get the test done anonymously and for free.
if you have had unprotected sex after Feb 06, that test mean diddle squat today. Sounds like old age so get a physical and blood tests done
