Pacemakers?

Do pacemakers really improve the quality of life of people that have them put in?

Answers:
I got mine when I was 34. I had a heart block, the chambers suddenly quit contracting in a manner that would regulate proper blood flow. Mine has been in me for almost 11 years now, and I live life exactly like I did before the pacemaker. It's almost time for a new one.
Yes, they improve quality of life.
