Whats so bad about ingrown hair?
Question:
Answers:
Ingrown hair, especially if you are a diabetic is a good source of infection. There is weak evidence that ingrown hairs can stimulate an autoimmune response which, depending on what areas your body wishes to attack, can cause medical conditions(i.e.-pancreas attacked-diabetes)The ingrown hairs have usually been cut(i.e.-razor) or sheared(i.e.-restrictive clothing rubbing them off) so that they are at or below skin level. The tips are sharp. They get hooked in the skin and start to burrow as the hair grows longer. Skin grows over them. The white blood cells rush to the sight and attack the bacteria and/or the hair , and pus forms making, basically, a pimple with a hair in it.Avoid shaving to close and/ or using restrictive clothing and using creams will help..
it turns into an infection and gets really so and u need to get get the hair out anyway you can
it's really sore and itchy and sometimes requires surgery.
happens when waxing goes wrong or when you don't shave properly.
for prevention always get waxed professionally and always use lotion after shaving. oh, and dont use deodourant right after shaving under arms.
Ingrowing hairs can be very dangerous. They can just continue to grow inside the body. I have heard of a man who had an ingrowing hair in his groin, which was more than 30 inches long. Need I say more. The folicle can also get infected which can be very painful. I dont know what causes it, but exfoliating the skin is good and shaving instead of plucking or waxing seems to be better.
