Cold, shivering feeling in throat?

Question:
Its almost the sensation of swallowing an ice cube. It happens every few nights, for about a year. Its quite litterally this extremely cold feeling traveling down my throat, and it hurts. I haven't seen anyone else describe this problem, but I'm wondering what it is or what could be causing it. I imagine its the same feeling as swallowing frion (freeon?). What ever that stuff is in air conditioning. Please help!
