yeah, it is possible if it is a severe allergy. anaphalaxis... (severe allergies) can cause your throat to swell so you can't breath. usually allergies are progressively worse each time you are exposed to the allergen. usually if it is that severe you'd feel more than a little sick though. i suppose it is possible if it's a new allergy though.
Yes it is very possible. Many people don't realize how allergic they are to things and go to sleep and could have a severe reaction. This can happen with medicine too. I was on antibiotic for several days when I became ill. I had to go back for re check and the doc I was seeing told me it was the flu. Well overnight I developed a rash and went to ER and found out I am deathly allergic to sulfa meds. The only thing that saved my life was the fact that I had been to ill to take the antibiotic for a day or two. If I had forced myself to keep taking it I would have probably been dead.
sure it can happen anything is possible but if you feel sick after eating something and I mean really feeling like crap it's better to go to a hospital then go to sleep.
