Nose bleed?

Question:
can anyone tell me what would cause a nine year old to have excessive nose bleeds. it seems like it happens more when he gets upset or strains the muscles in his face.

Answers:
Nosebleeds are very common. Most nosebleeds occur because of minor irritations or colds. The lining of the nose is more likely to become dry and irritated from low humidity, allergies, colds, or sinusitis. Thus, nosebleeds occur more frequently in the winter when viruses are common and heated indoor air dries out the nostrils. A deviated septum, foreign object in the nose, or other nasal blockage can also cause a nosebleedMost nosebleeds occur on the tip of the nasal septum, the tissue that separates the two sides of the nose. The septum contains many fragile, easily damaged blood vessels. This form of nosebleed is usually easy to stop. Less commonly, nosebleeds may occur higher on the septum or deeper in the nose. Such nosebleeds may be harder to control.Blood thinners such as Coumadin or aspirin may cause or worsen nosebleeds.

Remeber to contact a doctor if Nose bleeds get out of Control!!

Now Take this Nose Bleeding seriously!!!!!
well if hes taking some allergy medicine. that can cause nose bleeds for some people.... or it could be if your kid is constantly running or playing sometimes that gives nose bleeds... or it could be the heat.... hope this helped!
Nose bleeds are cause when a vein in the nose ruptures. When he gets mad or w/e he heats up and that makes the veins more visible in the nose, then they rupture. He probly just has weak skin inside his nose. To make sure i would see a doctor
Dry air can cause it, air conditioning, dry heat. Does he pick his nose? That can cause it to. A good way to stop it is to cut a tampon in half and stick it up there to stop the bleeding (I'm sure he'll be thrilled! :) Also nose sprays cause it as well. If it happens often I'd mention it to a dr... good luck
Have you recently moved? Or has he always had nose bleeds, just recently more often?

When I was a kid my family moved to Alberta (Canada) and I started getting a lot of nose bleeds. It was just a matter of me not being able to handle the drier climate. Once we purchased a humidifier the nose bleeds went away... for the most part.
chronic nosebleed disorder
lol! you should take him into the doctor
trauma (for example, by picking or rubbing your nose) and (2) excessive dryness (usually due to dry weather), which may chap the nasal tissues....Sneeze with your mouth open (this will reduce the force of the sneeze).....Do not forcefully blow your nose.....Keep your nose moist. A salt water solution (Ocean, Ayr or NaSal are easily obtainable brands in the USA) may be sprayed in each nostril every 2 to 3 hours, or as often as necessary. Ayr Gel is an excellent product as well....it also might be allergies
Sue I had nose bleeds a lot at that age, I believe i was having sinus problems then. You might what to have that checked and his ears.
