HELP Acne?

Question:
I'm 13 and for five years now I have had acne. I have talk to a dermotaligist and my doctor and only the doctor gave me a perscription. Yes I use the perscription but its not working. What products in the store actually work? I have used proactive and it makes me break out more. And how can I stop my acne? Does Nature's cure work? My boyfriend is worried about it and he says I have it bad.

Answers:
I would suggest drinking alot of water and keep on using the prescription. And don't touch or pick them or else it'll never go away. As for your boyfriend: I doubt it really matters what he thinks.

Try cetaphil's facial cleanser. it's real gentle
Have you used Biore Ice cleanser? I use that some times and it works really good.
yes try natures cure! try everything and if nothing works do this put toothpaste on ur zits and that will make it flat then put viseen over them and that will take out the redness nobody will even notice!
What prescription do you have? Benzoyl peroxide treaments (like proactiv) also made me break out more. If you can make another appointment with your dermatologist, ask for retin-a micro with benzaclin gel (it's benzoyl peroxide mixed with clindamycin). Works AMAZING for me! Nothing in the stores has ever helped me, and I've tried almost everything. :( My sister has regular clindamycin pads that she uses, and she also swears by them. I'm assuming it's the clindamycin that does the trick!
First off, your boyfriend sounds like a superficial jerk. He should care about you, not your acne. Having said that, I'll tell you I had acne so badly I had to get prescription medication. When you've got it really bad, simply no over-the-counter products work. What did your doctor prescribe?

Different products will work better on different people. I had to get Retin-A, at the strongest prescription level they could give. If what you're using now isn't working, why are you paying for the script? Tell your doctor it doesn't work, and ask for an alternative to what you've been using. You're allowed to do that.

Eventually, your body will start calming down and you'll be able to use the regular products. I use the Equate Acne Medication cream at Wal-Mart. Good luck with that. It's pretty miserable, but it'll get better.
dont wash your face alot (it irritates the skin), keep your hair clean, dont pick your pimples.
try Witch Hazel... you can find it at wal-mart or target, it's next to the hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol.
every evening after you wash your face (neutrogena blackhead eliminating daily scrub works great)
use the Witch Hazel on a cotton ball, wipe your face with it.
then moisturize with johnsons baby lotion.
i have tried a lot of stuff, and for me 'Clean & Clear by johnson and johnson's' works the best. It says 'Blackhead and Ance Treatment' on the cover. It hurts when you first put it on but then your skin gets used to it.

Here is a picture of what it looks like:

Hope this helps!
Ask your parents to take you back to the dermatologist and see other options...I took accutane. It is VERY VERY expensive and does have some side effects.but it worked.
Recently a friend of mine recommended a treatment, that appeared to good to be true to me, but reading all the positive testimonials I ordered it for my son, and he cured his acne condition in 3 days the natural way, incredible!
Now I don't know, if this works for everybody, but worth a look anyway for sure:

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having problems with acne and that your prescription doesn't seem to be working! Anyway, I'm an intern at Nature's Cure, and when I saw your post, I thought I could share some info.

As I'm sure you know, even if you are doing everything right with your cleansing regimen, many people still need a product to help control their breakouts since acne can be caused by imbalances inside your body. The reason I think Nature's Cure 2-Part Acne Treatment is good is that it comes with all-natural tablets to treat the imbalances caused by diet, stress or changes in your body and you don't need a prescription. It also comes with a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment to kill bacteria and unclog your pores on the outside.

Of course, your question was “does it work?” Why don’t you check out the results our customers have had so you can see for yourself: http://naturescure.com/beforeafter.asp...

And, I’d recommend checking out the product reviews users have posted on drugstore.com: http://www.drugstore.com/search/search_r...

I hope this helps!

umm i think u may be drying out ur skin so wait a week or less without using anything on ur skin if that dont work try and ur noxzema or stridex pads and then some rele good face lotion i hope my advice helps!
Whatever anybody says, food is not a factor in Acne. I would consider using suntan lotion and making sure that my face isn't oily. I like anything Clean and Clear makes, I would consider buying a less extreme version of the facewash. Usually anything you use religiously works if it is prescribed. Next time you are at your dermitologist ask for an oral medication and Differin or Duax (both skincare products).
