Would you accept a pig heart if it was the only way to keep you alive?
Question:
Thank you !
Answers:
Thousands of people already have pig heart valves, but I don't think there has yet been a successful pig to human transplant. There is one recorded in 1996 in India where the patient died soon after from rejection.
Morally, don't see a problem.
Biologically, there would have to be too much messing around with the anatomy to make it work. And even then, it would be guesses.
Nurse Emma
Yes I would.
The main problem would probably be psychological, but if it kept me alive I wouldn't care!
Yes i would...
first of all, i don't think that the pig's heart or any other animal's organ can be used to replace our own. The human body will just reject it.
If it kept me alive then yes
no of course , all of us believe that some day we have to pass away and no body pass away while he pig hart .
What problems?! How about disease, blood compatibility, and the fact that it came from a pig?! I see nothing but problems. We need to stop figuring out how to live longer, and learn how to live better.
maybe.......there different from humans and an they have different style of doin na i mean big big one....
hell ,yes ! as for problems all i can think of is poss exploitation of this resource . not sure if this has ever been successful but it would solve a whole bunch of problems.
You bet!
yes, but if anybody calls me Porky, I'm going to go ballistic
Yes, I have four sons and I want to see them grow. My 2 1/2 year old has a cow artery in his heart as he needed a conduit. I am happy to have him with me!!
