Gestational Diabetes....i need advice?
I was told today i may have gestational diabetes, i have to go in on Mon to take the three hour test to see for sure. I want to make sure i am doing things right until then with my eating and all (by the way i am in no way shape of form overweight). Does anyone have any good recipes i can try or know what foods i can and can't eat...? I looked on the internet, but they never jsut give you a list of the good and bad foods. Help me...

the key is to watch how many carbohydrates are in a meal in addition to sugar.
Why can the lungs expand and contract? Is it because of muscular walls?
I'm a diabetic, the best advice I can give is to eat a normal healthy diet eg plenty of fruit and veg. Avoid sugar high things such as candie/sweets. If you take sugar in coffee/tea try to wean yourself off that - try sweeteners. If you have the condition, then you should be advised about a diet and possible treatment.

Keep eating healthy as usual but cut out items that have high sugar content. Certain veggies like peas and corn have very high sugar. Have a look at the sites below. You should get alot of good information.

Don't panic my 1st test showed that then then 3 hr post ruled it out. Even so If it is so don't worry you can and will still have a healthy pregnancy. If you do have it you will met with a diabetes educator that specializes with gestational diabetes and assist you in all you need to know and what to eat and avoid.
I am a type 1 I was diagnosed 8 years after my last pregnancy so I have learned alot in the past years between that episode and my current situation.
The one thing that I was blessed with both times was help in the medical world. Both times diabetes nurses helped me learn all i needed to know. Good luck

Fresh veggies. Or frozen with no additives. Be creative.
Cinnamon. One quarter tsp twice daily. Helps regulate blood sugar.
Pre-natal vitamins and minerals.
Pure water--not tap water.
Adequate rest.
DONT'S--
Tobacco, alcohol, caffeine.
Red meat.
High-fat foods and trans fats.
Chocolate.
Processed sugar.
Bleached flour products.
Stress.
