Is there a cure for gastroparesis?
what kinds of medications or procedures???????
Traveling with portable oxygen?
Answer:
Yes there is a cure but may/may not be completely effective. Mostly medications. However, the underlying cause must be controlled such as in diabetes.
Ask your doctor which is best for you(or the patient).
A competent specialist in gastroenterology should be able to help.
not to the best of my knowledge. i'm looking too. i did my last heavy research in the fall. there are drugs that will help (so they say) but you best check into the side affects before making your decision.
personally, i use one of those herb and fiber combinations along with stool softeners and stimuant laxatives daily, but i am not a doctor. my doc actually had his lab analyze the product i use and put some of his patients on it.
maybe you could look into this under the guidance of your physician.
good luck and if you find a solution, please share it.
there are support groups for gastroparesis. i haven't joined any yet myself.
god bless
