What is this?
it started when i was about 5, i was on holiday in france, and i remember feeling very dizzy and neuseous. from then on for about 10 years, about 2, 3, sometimes 4 times a year i would get this 'dizzy feeling' again, lasting for about a week. when i tried to move around, i would feel it, and i would involuntarily close my eyes, and feel sick, and often be sick.
it stopped when i was fifteen, but about 18 months later, i missed a gcse exam with it. it was the worst one i've ever had, lasting nearly two weeks.
we had to go to the doctor to get a note for the exam board, and she said it could be a physical manifestation of anxiety brought on by stress.
it seems to make sense, but that was the only time i can remember where i would have had a reason to be stressed. i mean im hardly likely to be stressed on holiday at the age of 5.
i almost dont want to believe that it is anxiety.
so can someone tell me what might be going on, good news or bad.
thanks
Is it a bite or a rash or WHAT?!?
Answer:
Another option is to see a cardiologist... I had dizzy spells and actually fainted twice that I can remember and was advised to seek a cardiologist... I did and found out that I only have Mitral Valve Prolapse which isnt the cause but it was a good thing I went because I did find out something wasnt right! There are certain heart conditions that can cause such spells but I doubt that this is your issue... See a primary physician and let them know exactly what is going on with your body so they can recommend a specialist for you! In all honesty anxiety could be part of the cause and just because you were five doesnt mean you werent stressed... Somewhere in your life you could have went through some trauma and even if you dont remember your body can still react to it... Its really hard to explain and a therapist could break it down for you much better... not saying you need therapy but if you are stressed they can help you learn to cope with that! Definatley see a doctor it might be something less serious then you think but you wont know until you do something about it... Best of luck!
