You need to talk to your doctor about this. Although 145/90 is not really considered high for blood pressure. And every ones pulse and blood pressure fluctuate during the day. It also has to do with your health and level of fitness. I really would see your doctor and talk to him/her about it. It may be nothing. My resting heart rate is usually around 68. But I work out and keep in shape.
Take care Kali :-)

90/145 not hypertension, most peopl ewake up with a below average temp int the morning too, relax
this is not normal. you are at dangerously high risk for a heart attack. get yourself to the ER as soon as humanly possible. your life depends on it. i dont really give a **** if you die though.
Your going to have to go to a doctor , because when you are lying down in bed ...your heart has to work harder...this indicates a blocked artery somewhere. 145 is too high.
145/90 is hypertension as you know. But your BP and HR should be lower in the mornings. Your body needs less oxygen when you are resting so the heart pumps less hard and slower. As you move about and become more active your body needs more oxygen to keep things going. So, your heart pumps harder and faster.
Actually there are many things that affect our BP and heart rate every minute of the day. Excitement, stress, anger all play apart. Thing we eat or drink, like caffeine, sugars, and medications, can all increase our BP and HR. Did you know that your BP is higher when you need to go to the bathroom? It's true.
Doctors are concerned with a resting BP and HR.
I have a website that tells basic information about the conditions I have. Please visit the site to learn more about Heart Rate and Blood Pressure. The link is:

If you are overweight and have a history of snoring then I would suggest being evaluated for sleep apnea...actually 60 beats a minute is not that low for just waking up...your doctor can tell you more about monitoring your BP. Take it several times during the day and keep track.
