Sunburn Question?

The parts that are tanned are essentially burned, but not enough to peel off your skin. kind of like when you cook chicken too long and some of the skin shrivels up. That's literally what's happening to your skin when it peels. Tanning is just burning your skin (actually damaging it purposefully), and the skin under what has peeled will have some tanned skin under it.
If you want to "even out" the tan, you may want to just peel up some of what hasn't peeled yet, but that won't be perfect any moreso than leaving it as it is.
That being said, the best way to even it out would be to use Aloe to heal the skin... either used straight (rubbed on or soaked into a towel and put on) or added to a warm bath.
That way, it will heal the skin which will naturally even it out. but it will heal the damage done to the skin (the tan), so you may need to go easy if you still want the tan.
It Will all fade in as the peel goes away so dont worry about it too much for now!
You can try some sunless tanning lotion that will tan overnight. Spend some money and just make sure it's a good one, otherwise you will look like you've got orange spots.
After your sunburn, I would not go out in the sun during the hours of 12-2pm because the sun is the hottest at that point and will fry you whether you have preventative sunburn lotion (SP30 or higher).
You will start to tan once the burn is gone because right now you body is just trying to repair the damages it has sustained from the burn. As it heals melanon will collect underneath your skin and build a tan. I would suggest next time if you want to tan more evenly without the "tramatic" burn to wear a light SPF. Like an 8 or 10 SPF, then you will tan but not burn!
