Do you think a second mattress cover would help?

Question: I have the most serve allergy to dust and dust mites that my doctor has ever seen. I put a mattress cover on my bed and my stuffed nose decreased by about 40% whn I wake up. I sleep in the bottom of a bunk bed. The bed above me is held up by 6 thin panels of wood meaning dust mites from that top mattress may be falling on me. Do you think I should get a second hypo allergenic cover and put it up side down on the top matress?

That's a great idea. They make mattress covers with a plastic lining...you might want to try that. Good luck.
