Stomach aches, bloating, gas?

Question:
Just about 3 days ago, all of a sudden I started to feel sudden stomach aches, and feel bloated with gas. At night it's terribly hard for me to fall asleep, because the stomach aches really get to me. I researched on my symptoms and found something called IBS. I am still not sure at all if this is what I have, but can someone tell me if this is something serious or not?

And also, I think that lately I've been having a poor diet and was not very physical. Can someone give me some tips on changing my diet?

Answers:
eat lean meats, leafy greens, get as much of a normal sleep time as you can, and stop eating fast food or cut down for a little while and see if you notice a difference, and get a checkup, especially if anyone in your family has a history of ibs or ibd. also, as gross as it sounds, record the frequency and consistency of your bowel movements and bring them to the appointment
i have ibd so i know the drill lol
I've been feeling the same way lately and i don't think its IBS unless it continues for a long time. But you should change your diet. I've decided to cut out fried foods and some spicy food out of my diet.
its possible that it could be ibs. but the good thing it can be treated and tolerated.. first thing u need to add more fiber to your diet and eat things that are high in dietary fiber. fruits and vegetables are good starts for your diet. stay away from so much fried and greasy foods.. also drink more water and cranberry or apple juice to complete the diet..

hope i helped~!!!
