Is this an ear infection? If not, what is it?

Question:
Two days ago, my ear felt full of fluid and then progressed to being very painful and I just noticed that if I put an earphone in that ear I can barely hear it. I have also had a mild headache. Any ideas?

Answers:
Yes, it could be. You need to get to a doctor. An ear infection left untreated can go to your inner ear and do serious damage to your eardrum. Go see a doctor today.
Sounds like an ear infection indeed. I would recommend that you see your GP asap, as you will need to get on anti biotics as soon as you can to ensure it doesnt get any worse.
In the meantime, take a pain relief that settles ear aches and headaches- look on the back of the packet and it will definantly say if it is suitable.

take caree.

Definitely sounds like an ear infection. I would consult my doctor. You can't take any chances with your ears.
yes i may be ... see a docter
good luck

try not to get water inside it
Don't leave your hearing to some idiots on this forum. Get to a doctor asap, it may be nothing, but then again it may be an infection that will damage your hearing forever. Don't chance it.
Sounds like it, am at the tail end of one now. Ibuprophen x1 and paracetemol x1 (to ruduce swelling and pain) should help, and go to doctor as there a are drops you can use. Hope you feel better soon.
It sounds like an ear infection to me. Go and see your doctor soon because an ear infection without treatment is NOT fun.

Trust me.
