Excessive thirst- a sign a cold may coming?
Question:
Answers:
excessive thirst could be a symptom associated with a few things like dehydration (loss of body fluids such as through prolonged sweating, heat related illnesses, not adequately hydrating throughout the day especially before, during and after exercise and/or sun exposure), diabetes, eating salty foods, etc. if you usually find yourself excessively thirsty when you do have a cold, then chances are you are noticing that you're body is run down and not functioning to your full potential. that in itself could be the direct result of contact with someone that is sick or something that was contaminated and/or basic health neglect like not getting enough sleep, not eating healthy and taking supplements, not keeping warm in cold temperatures. people might notice they feel dehydrated when they have a cold/flu because of excessive perspiration, coughing and mucous production and loss of appetite and inadequate fluid consumption. sometimes being congested to the point where you breath through your mouth is another possible reason for being excessively thirsty when sick as your mouth and throat will start to feel dry and scratchy.
Not sure what part of the states you live in but chances are with the heat honey its just dyhration cause of the heat.
