i am not a Dr / but/ it is /called/ vertigo(dizziness) try/ not /getting up fast/if it/ continues /see Dr/ pronto
You need to bring that to the attention of your doctor. It should not be happening.
You might try drinking more water ( if your dehydrated it lowers blood pressure) but go to doctor anyway even if it works.
It's called 'myocardial (near) syncope' and it's not uncommon. A lot of people get it, heart condition or not.
What it really is is this: When you sit down, your blood goes to the lowest point in your body (your legs and butt). When you stand up, all that blood now has to make a journey UP to your brain. Sometimes, your blood doesnt make it fast it enough, and momentarily your brain is deprived of normal bloodflow, hence feeling dizzy.
It is not deadly, nor harmful.
Try to stretch, and stand up slowly.
If it keeps happening, definately see a doctor just to rule out other conditions. Ask to get a tilt table test, which will help tell you for sure whats wrong.
