I get sharp pains in my chest, what's going on?

Question:
Sometimes after I eat certain foods I'll get jolted with sharp pains. They seem to run from my chest to my upper arms. They pain is on the same rhythm with my heart beats. It also seems to happen after fatty foods. The latest one happened with an avacado and lasted for like 45 seconds. Any ideas?

Answers:
stress could do this to you, i was having the same thing, some food made it worse as well, get a stress test done. good luck, and dont think about it to much it will just get worse.
Consult your doctor. Ask on here and you're likely to get advice from a twelve year old kid.

UPDATE:
The very fact that three mistakes of nature thumbs downed this answer is evidence of the fact that you shouldn't really ask for potentially serious medical advice on this board. Most of the people on here have IQ's lower than their shoe size or they're kids...or both.
hmm, how fast do you eat?... slow down and chew your food perhaps?
yea, you've been stricken with a case of hypochondria.
Yeah, it is more than likely heart burn or you may have an ulcer. You should take some rolaids or some antacid to see if that helps.

If it doesn't completely help, then you FOR SURE need to see a doctor. It's better to be safe than sorry. I would see one right away if heart disease or heart attacks run in the family.

Hope you feel better!
sounds like heart burn.Try tums, but also consult with a doctor.
actually heartburn. My husband has the same thing. Even after ekg's, and many other tests.
immediately consult a doctor this is not right
any chest pain is very serious and could lead to be fatal if not treated
