Why does the back of a stick of deodorant say "ask doctor before use if you have kidney disease"?

Question:
I see it written on my deodorant every time I use it. But, I can't seem to think of a logical explanation for how using deodorant could effect my kidneys.

Answers:
The risk to kidney disease patients is from the aluminum in most antiperspirants. Aluminum can be absorbed through the skin. Kidney disease patients are susceptible to buildup of aluminum in their bones. The buildup causes bone problems because the normal Calcium and Phosphorus balance in your bones is disrupted. I believe the warning was required by the FDA. It really should not be a problem for people with normal kidney function.
I don't know, but what brand are you using? This question made me curious and I went and check my own & families. Dad's Degree and Mom's Secret don't have that warning, but my Dove does. I am going to have to look in to this one.
because some chemicals in deodorants can get absorbed by the skin and if the kidneys are somehow weakened or not working properly.those chemicals can either further damage your kidneys or accumulate in the body and cause harm that way.

Chemicals such as paraben which is a synthetic antimicrobial agents used as cosmetic preservative.

Other chemicals found in deodorants are aluminum and zirconium which have an effect on the DNA controlling cancer growths.
