I'm 31 and have dealt with it for almost 17 years now.
There was a famous singer in the 1970s called Karen Carpenter (the group was The Carpenters, fronted by Karen and her brother Richard). She had an unhappy marriage and couldn't form normal relationships - probably because the men she met were only after her fame and money. She tragically died aged at 32 after a long battle with anorexia. From what I remember her heart gave out under the strain of starvation. It still chokes me up just thinking about it because she was so beautiful and talented.
