Is it possible to build up a resistance to getting Sunburnt?
Question:
Answers:
By gradually increasing your exposure to the sun you are allowing your skin to "tan" which in turn builds somewhat of a resistance.
For example, I work in a tanning salon and we will have clients come in who are very fair skinned and will burn within minutes of being in the sun without protection. So, we start them off at a very low time (in the bed) and slowly but surely they work there way up to full time (if they chose.)
But remember, just because you are able to be unprotected in the sun longer, without burning, does not mean you are not doing just as much damage, so sunscreen is REALLY important!
yes of course. all you need to do is change your diet. I use to burn quickly, but now that I have more green tea, cocoa, pomegranate, cherries, strawberries, blueberries (lots of dark food helps your skin withstand getting a burn and builds up your skins own sun protection factor) I never burn anymore. Several different cultures have their own speciality sun protection food/oil...ie. hawaians use coconut oil. (eating and wearing)
nope. sorry.
