Well one of the reasons homosexual men tend to be more supsceptible to STDS like HIV is simply because the anal canal is not anatomically meant for sexual intercourse. Any one on the recieving end of anal sex is at a higher risk of catching something. Unlike the vagina, the anus and its lining to not stretch easily, creating tears. These tears are the perfect place for germs to enter the body and cause infection.
Its always a good idea to use a condom during anal sex, even if both partners are clean. All kinds bacteria lurk down there, so protect anything that goes in it.
Gays have more sexual partners.

Well, I don't know abut that, and I am afraid to sound like I am bashing gay men...I think STDs happen to ANYONE who is not careful sexually, no matter his/her sexual bent. So, everyone should practice safe sex...
