Knee pain/Osgood-Schlatter?

Question:
iam 18 & about to go to college and play lacrosse. if i have Osgood-Schlatter and have a hard time running and it really hurts, should i not play? would that just make my knee worst??

Answers:
I also have Osgood Sclatter. Perhaps my condition is not as bad as yours, but mine only acts up once or twice a year. I am a runner, and it has not prevented me from missing more than 1 day here and there.

Normally this disease stops after you stop growing as it has been found to be linked to growth plates in young athletes. At 18, I would get this checked out again to see if it is something else.
