Can you give your unborn child genital herpes?

Question:
I wasn't sure if you had genital herpes, If you could give it to your unborn child? Any answers?

Answers:
Yes, you can. If a pregnant woman is on suppressive therapy and does not have an outbreak she will be able to deliver vaginally. If she has an outbreak at the time the baby is ready to delivery she will need a cesarian section.
YES!! Tell your dr.he or she will decide whats best for u and little one on the way.IF u have a outbreak a c section is best,if not let dr.decide,be sure to tell the dr.most of all.IT NOT OUR LIFE WE PLAY WITH.
Yes. It doesn't mean if you have herpes your baby will automatically get them. If you have an outbreak when you are about to give birth, then it has to be done by c-section
Yes, you can pass herpes onto your child during delivery: "The most common outcome is for the mother to pass herpes virus onto the baby at the time of delivery. By talking to your doctor about your history of herpes, precautions can be taken to prevent this from occurring." See link: http://access.health.qld.gov.au/hid/infe...
