Does anyone know how to get rid of a bacteria called h-pylori?

Question:
My 8yr. old daughter has had it for about 2yrs now and has gone through several treatments which include different antibiotics and other medications ...nothing works

Answers:
The only way modern medicine knows is to use antibiotics. I do wonder how an 8 year old has Helicobactor Pylori though?

Does she have ulcers yet?
I tested positive for it in February/March. I also took antibiotics and some heartburn medication. I thought I had gotten better, but now I'm thinking it didn't work either since I still have some of the same symptoms I had before. So, even though I don't have a real answer for you, know that your daughter isn't alone! (not that that helps the situation) I'm curious to see what others say--hopefully something works!!
Therapy for H. pylori infection consists of 10 days to 2 weeks of one or two effective antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, tetracycline (not to be used for children <12 yrs.), metronidazole, or clarithromycin, plus either ranitidine bismuth citrate, bismuth subsalicylate, or a proton pump inhibitor.

It is odd for someone so young to have H. pylori. The standard treatment is what they call "triple therapy," which consists of two antibiotics (Bactrim and amoxicillin, by my docs) and a proton pump inhibitor (Prevacid or Nexium, again by my docs). The snag here might be that she's so little and they're afraid to dose her accordingly, but that's still a long time to deal with it. Are you seeing a GI doc or just your pediatrician? It might be time for a second opinion.
