Is it safe to live in Las Vegas with nodules on my lungs? Help?

You should be more specific. Nodules in or on lungs are common occurences and show up on CT all the time. They can be the result of infection or just shadows on the scans. Cancer can only be determined by biopsy. Both PET and CT can give false readings. My son went 8 months with a malignancy in the pelvis that both CT and PET failed to detect.
I would suggest that you get a second a opinion and another PET/CT scan to compare with the original one.
I am not certain if the first doctor was an oncologist or just your regular physician? I am never sure why doctors jump the gun like that and tell patients anything until they take a biopsy.
Cancer, as you can now see, is difficult to diagnosis. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack, especially when it is as small as a nodule. The body is filled with nodules and unexplainable things on CT/PET. PET and CT are just tools to be used but further investigation is always warranted . . get a biopsy if you have any further questions . . or at least have another CT/PET so that these can be compared to the original images. I do not think you have a definitive diagnosis about what is happening yet. Be persistent.
i think i would sue the first doctor and then take my nodules and go...
I would say get to 2 more opinions and fast!! If they both say they are cancer and cannot operate on them, then start packing and go to Vegas, the only problem with Vegas is their Health care really sucks:( you might have to travel some for a decent doctor:) GL:)
