What are the symptoms of anemia?
Question:
Answers:
There are different causes of anemia and different kinds. My daughter and I have both had iron deficiency anemia. I have had it off and on for 16 yrs. What works best for me, even better than taking a supplement, is eating beef liver several times a week. Another old time remedy is drinking grape juice and eating eggs everyday until your hemoglobin comes up. Other foods high in iron include raisins and dried fruit, beans, and dark green leafy vegetables, and of course red meat. Drinking orange juice with your high iron foods will help you absorb it better (vitamin C).
To answer your question though, symtoms are very low energy, breathlessness and pale color. Look at your tongue in the mirror. If it is pale, you are anemic.
You can get better and good nutrition is the place to start. Best Wishes!
Take lo-fe which is a very good iron supplement, also take vitamin c as it helps you absorb it better. Also make sure to take colace as iron will make you constipated.
