Minnesota Health Care Program Question.? (M.S.)?

Question:
I have Multiple Sclerosis and Medica (Minnesota Care) covered my Rebif. I was just put onto the "Minnesota Health Care Program", my Rebif is no longer covered. My Neurologist is out for another week and a half. Has anyone else in Minnesota had this happen to them? Thank you in advance for your anticipated reply.

Answers:
Hello,
I am so sorry your benefits for rebif have been cut. I dont live in MN, but in Colo.My insurance did something similar with my betaseron but i was able to qualify for aid from the betaseron foundation. You might call and see if rebif has an assistance program .

I'm not in Minnesota but there are other programs to help with your medications. You could start by calling the Rebif manufacturer to see if they have any patient assistance program to help you. If not, ask them for suggestions. There are foundations to help with medications. I'll list a few but you could get our entire list from me or from my Yahoo Groups MSersHEALTH or MSersLIFE.

Good Luck
Sharon
