Can I wear my insulin pump while i have sex?

Question:

Answers:
You can, but you have to be careful that you don't get tangled up in the tubing or pull out the infusion set. Personally I find that if I leave my pump on during, I will have low blood sugar later on because of my activity level. I will usually disconnect during, put it on the nightstand, and reattach when finished. Works fine unless of course you are in for an "all-nighter".
As long as it's not in the way.
I'd be really turned off if you did that.
I agree with the above answer. I find that I can leave it connected, but then I am always thinking about it. My mind has to be on where it is, and such. Also, I find that I need to set a temporary basal rate, to compensate for the activity that we are doing. In general it is just easier to disconnect it, and leave it nearby.
But yes, you can wear it while you have sex.
Thumbs up for Anita

I do the same
Only one way to find out!
You can, but I used to knock it off the bed. Take it off, and the lack of insulin will stave off a low while you're being...extra active.
You can, however, it would be easier to pull out and can kind of just be a hassle. If you're feeling like its getting pulled at all or if you're worrying more about that then what you're doing, I'd take it out. I'm sure your partner's not going to mind you taking a second to unhook it so you can stop worrying :). Once you're done though you're going to want to hook it back up and test your blood sugar when you can to see if any additional insulin is needed. However, sex is a good source of excercise so you may not need anything extra.
yes you can but you have to be careful not to pull it out of the site. i puled disconnect it and reattach it when you are finished.
I personally take it off and then reattach it for all the above reasons.

Hope this helps.
As the spouse, I like that my husband takes his off, and it doesn't bother me that he takes the time to do it. As it is, If he takes it off and leaves it lying on the bed, I find it distracting because I'm thinking about not hitting it. If it were attached, it would be difficult for me to enjoy having sex with him, because I would be thinking about it all the time. I wouldn't like that much.
I too just disconnect from mine. I have done it both ways though, i just notice that the site is more likely to come out during or right after sex becasue of sweat and rubbing, if the pump is attached, rather than if you just disconnect.
I take mine off for the following reasons: (1) it gets in the way and I am afraid of the infusion set being pulled out of the site (ouch!) (2) I don't want to worry about if the pump is under the pillow or if it has fallen on the floor, and (3) I would have low blood sugar after wards. It's best just to take it off; believe me it will let you know after an hour or so with a beep to re-attach it!
