Can infected glands in the breasts show up as cancerous in a mammogram and ultra sonography ?

Question:

Answers:
I don't think so ...I think the colour of the mass would be much more dense if it was cancer.
Not definitely. They had to take my lymph nodes out one by one and test them, 11 altogether. You'll need a biopsy to verify cancer.
What shows up on both mammograms and ultrasounds is tissue of different density.

These areas of different density can be cancerous, scar tissue, fluid areas etc.

That is why biopsy is needed to confirm diagnoses.
