I've been drinking every day for 13 years, and was diagnosed with a stomach illness. As you know, alcoholics are sneaky people, and for 2 years I vomited 4 times a day, didn't eat and whatever I ate just came up anyway. I loved my champagne, and nobody was taking it away from me.
Well, thats all changed now I have chronic liver disease. Surprise, surprise, since giving up the alcohol, not one vomit. He doesnt want to go to the doctor because he knows what they will say, and deep down he knows what the problem is. I had 101 health problems, and it was NEVER the alcohol. Im not preaching, I miss my champagne every minute of my life, but if I start again I will die.simple.
He might need a few scares to wake him up, like I did, maybe one big scare, who knows. Men can be stubborn, I wish you luck.

Wow, I am really sorry to hear. Is there a number you can call in your local phone book like an ask a nurse line? We have those in our town. Or maybe call an alcohol line and they can maybe answer some of your questions.. good luck to you.
He really needs to go see a doctor. He could have an ulcer.
I'm sorry to hear that your father is unwell. My father similarly drank every day and was an alcoholic. Sadly, he passed away nearly 2 years ago due to septicemia from a ruptured ulcer in his stomach. The years of alcohol abuse had led to ulcerations from the back of his throat right down and through all of his intestine. It sounds to me like your father has a similar problem. It is important you get him to a doctor asap so they can help him.
