Answers:
A stroke, or cerebral vascular accident (CVA), is damage to the brain caused by loss of blood supply to the brain. Known as the most common cause of adult language disturbance, strokes claim 1,300,000 lives annually. Strokes occur as a result of an embolism, thrombosis, or hemorrhage. Specifically, an embolism is a fragment of a blood clot or other foreign particle that travels in the blood vessel until it obstructs blood flow. A thrombosis is a clot that is fixed along the vessel wall, commonly caused by build up of atherosclerotic plaque. A cerebral hemorrhage results from blood leaking out of the vessels into the cranium. This blood forms a clot and begins to compress and destroy local brain tissue.
well obviously a stroke is when an artery in the brain ruptures

if the blood or other fluid clogs other vessels or veins somethin disastrous could happen

Blood clogs up the vains in your brain, then blood can't get transported to other parts of the body.If you don't die, you'll most likely be paralyzed.
Give the points to RN shes right on?
A stroke is pretty much the same thing as a heart attack. A blood vessel is blocked or partially blocked and blood cannot reach or is reduced to certain cells. This can cause irreversible damage to cell function. If a stroke happens in parts of the brain that keep you live, then you could die.
