People with herpes?
Question:
Answers:
I have heard that Vitamin C, Zinc and Lysine help. I just try to eat right and take a multi-vitamin. I havent had an outbreak in months and I dont take Valtrex. Then again everyone is different.
Different bodies react differently to the herpes virus. For me, stress and my period are triggers. There is nothing I can do about having or not having my period! But as for stress there are many things you can do to lessen it or at least help. As for foods, etc. that boost your immune system, I really don't know what those would be, and I don't think that there would be any that are specifice to hsv. One thing that you could do is go to webmd.com. They have tons of information on hsv. They also have message boards (I'll give you the direct link to that) and the people are very supportive and informative. You can talk to other people who are going through the same thing, both people who have it for years and those just recently diagnosed. I've had it for 5 years this past aug. but definitely do not know all there is to know about it. I know people on here are well-meaning, but sometimes they provide more opinion than fact. Be careful who you chose to listen to, and don't take anything for fact unless it's from a reputable source. There are also chat rooms, message boards, etc. on the internet to provide info and support. Hope this helps a little. Message me anytime if you'd like.
vitamin C will help your immune system, you can get the tablets anywhere.
