Extreme chapped lips?

Question:
i've used every chap stick ever created.
and i go to a dermatologist.
sometimes my lips will get better and then they seem to get immune to the medication.
and they begin to ooze and crack.
what can i do to make them better forever?

Answers:
try drinking more water it helped me
try one more;; burts bees lip balm. It doesn't have a certain ingrediant that most lip balms do, that makes your lips drier, so you keep putting it on.
Have you tried the Blistex line? The one in the blue can is awesome, very medicated.
Have you tried Carmax (or maybe it is Carmex). I hate it but I got it when my lips got really chapped and it worked well.

Before my father died, he went through bouts of long stays in the hospital. His lips got so chapped once and a friend of mine suggested Carmex. I got some for him and after that he just swore by the stuff.

If you have tried this, sorry, I can't think of anything else. If you haven't, it sure is worth a try.

It sounds so painful, I hope you find something that works.
use glycerine on your lips when you go to sleep every night for atleast a fortnight and see the miracle
Your best bet would be to go to the lip care aisle in your local Walgreen's drugstore or WalMart. Look over the products available and try one or two of them. Only you can determine which product works best for you by trial and error. You might see a different dermatologist for some prescription medication too.
