Find something else to do.
you have lost one of life's supreme pleasures and cultivated pastimes. by giving up smoking you won't live any longer, but it sure will seem like it. On top of that you will become a crushing bore.
Try replacing that habit of something in your hand & mouth with something healthier. Eating mints & being more active (get busy doing something when you get that feeling). It has helped me. Also try telling yourself that the urge for a cigarette will go away whether you have one or not.
You havn`t lost anything you`ve everything to gain from it. I used to suck mints...any mints would do..You`ll feel a lot better and wonder why the hell you used to do it in a few months time.
Yes, you need to treat yourself to something special, Since smoking is the number one cause of aging, I suggest an anti-aging skincare--luxury, to erase and minimize your pores. If you treat yourself to something nice, you will feel rejuvenated and wonderful, Try Valahe Products for Men. www.valahe.com. Real Good Line. Also Your face is the first thing people notice, so its good to take care of it.
It does take time, its like a diet, you feel deprived for a little until you make that lifestyle change-thats when you feel like a million bucks.
I have stopped too, It's hell. I am getting through it by training harder and enjoying noticing how quickly my lungs are improving. Or you could try lollipops, they are good to suck the cravings away. crap if you put on weight easily though...
goood for u!!:) hmmm...keep urself busy in something else.find a new hobby...?? stuff like that?
Start chewing gum, and try staying away from people that smoke for a while. Its the hardest thing to quit doing!
Keep busy - how about writing a diary ? This way you can track your success . When I stopped smoking , I took to Fisherman's Friends and the craving left quickly : if you have one of those , you don't really want to smoke anymore .
That's brilliant well done! Drink a glass of water every time you feel the need to smoke, that's good. Brilliant! :-D
Congratulations!!
Right now you will feel like you have lost a friend. Smoking has probably been a part of your life for awhile if you feel that you have lost something. As others have said, you must find a replacement for that cigarette. There are so many things that you can do from hobbies to exercising to drinking water when the urge to have a cigarette hits. I always had a bottle of water and sugarless gum on hand when I quit. It will be hard, but do not give up. It will get easier as time passes. One day you will wake up and the thought of a cigarette will not enter your mind.
Again Congratulations! And Good Luck.
It's a Craving.
Dude, Smoking sucks, that taste and smell, its enough to put you off for life.
And your teeth becoming yellow.
My man, Every time i smoke a cigarette i want to vomit man.
That **** Stinks.
Congratulations! Welcome back to your life... and yes you will live longer and the health benefits are already happening.
Give it time and you will find something natural to fill the gap
Well done xx
chew gum, or walk around with an unlit cigarette in your hand!
Good Luck!
I should be taking my own advice!
I quit for 1 year and then started back again!
Thumbs up man!!
:-)~
.Now that you've done it, you have proved to yourself that you are still in charge, I give all smokers a body swerve now as they are lesser persons than me, the next step is to get it banned from the street, it gets so bad sometimes, I have to run into a betting shop for a breath of "freshened" air
well just find some thing esle to do or just go back to smoking i know alot of people that used eating as a replacement of smoking .not good
Congratulations =)
I quit smoking also, unfortunately not until my lungs were badly damaged =( but still quit. That "lost" feeling eventually goes away, for now just grab a bottle water or gum to get you past it.
Watch your calories; they will sneak up on ya during this time.
Best of Luck to you and God Bless =)
