Feeling of Doom and Heart attacks?

Question:
Has anyone here had a heart attack? Did you feel a 'sense of impending doom' right before?

I didnt read about this symptom till after I had a heart attack shortly before I was 29. But the whole day leading up to it, I spent most of it telling people that I felt really, really bad but I couldnt say what was wrong...

I read after that some people have reported a sense of impending doom before a heart attack and was interested to see if anyone else has experienced this?

Answers:
I've read a good bit on this and it appears they don't know if depression causes the heart attack or the heart attack causes depression.

In my case, I kept having recurring dreams that I was laying on the ground dieing in the back yard before my heart went tilt. Weird.

The impending doom thing is a bona-fide symptom.
See a psychologist.
No, that is really scary though. I can't believe you had a heart attack so young and I'm glad that you are ok. I experience a lot of palpulations in my chest and sometimes this worries me.
Yes, as a paramedic I have treated hundreds of chest pain/heart attack calls in 20 years, and if a patient tells me he doesn't think he's going to make it..belive it. It does not happen with all, but when it does, take it seriously. In most cases when a patient has said this, he either coded and had to be revieved with shocks and drugs, or died.
