JUry duty and sickness?

Question:
I am A 20 year old male who has Crohn’s disease and have had it for about 4 1/2 years now. about 2 years ago i had surgery to remove adhesives that were attaching my intestines to the inner wall of my stomach. Now with my Crohn’s i can't sit for lengthy periods of time at all without pain in my lower stomach. My question is i recently withing next couple weeks have to do jury duty and i'm worried i might not be able to sit through it all without having to get up. Do i have to send them a doctors notice saying i have a medical problem? once again this is my first jury duty . Also i haven't been to the doctor withing the last year or so due to just not having insurance nor a steady job due to my Crohn’s. Your help would be greatly appreciated

Answers:
The last doctor that treated you, ask that he sign a paper, offer to even pay a fee for it- I have sufffered with Anxiety and IBS and I canot sit long either- so I called my doctor who was well aware of my condition though I hadn't been there for about a year or so and she wrote me a note to send back with the jury duty paper.
That is all you have to do- and write in what you have on the actual paper as well.
if you get a dr note and take it with you on the day of your jury duty then show it to them when they ask then they should let yo leave.
