TB test question.?

Feeling sick, dizzy?
I had mine today, and there is no sign of anything at the sight that the needle was injected.
Is this a good thing?

1. only if your positive for tb,but it takes 48 to72 hour to get an end test result for a positive or negative tb reading. no sick or dizzy feelings that something else tell your doctor right away. and to end yes that's a good thing, and don't worry there is a series of medication you take to put tb in remission if you turn up with a positive reading after the 48 to 72 hours.
I work in a hospital, and have for a number of years. We have to take a TB test every year, at the hospital, and I have never had any reaction. However, it is possible to have an allergic reaction, I suppose. But, normally, there is nothing but a small bump where they injected the solution, then it goes away in a couple of hours. Yes, not having anything at the site is a very good thing.
You should not be feeling any sickness/dizziness. It's not a common reaction to a TB test. It could take up to 72 hours for something to show up at the injection site, so don't take today's negative as a certain negative.

Nope, never heard of that...might be coincidental. And I've had 10 years worth of TB skin tests. If you are worried, see your doc. Good luck.
You are referring to a Mantoux test? a subcutaneous injection of a PPD. The positive result for a PPD is a wheal (redness with swelling) formation greater than 10mm from the center. If it turns positive, it only means that you are exposed to the TB bacillus and can actually be TB disease free. It takes 24 hours for the completion of the test so if you had it today and it still appears the same tomorrow, then it is a good sign.
