How to Prevent Bad Knees?

Question:
I have a family history of bad knees and hips. People in my family are usually dealing with degenery arthritis and having surgeries by age 25. I am not there yet, but is there anything I can do now to prevent it in the future?

Thanks a lot.

Answers:
You may want to try a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement. They seemed to help me.

It may sound funny, but another remedy that really did seem to help me was purple pectin and gin soaked raisins. It sounds funny, but both actually have solid science to back them up. Juniper berries (the flavor in gin) have been used by Native Americans for centuries for all sorts of problems like arthritis and general pain.

Cycling and other low impact exercises can help too. I've been trying to avoid surgery on one of my knees for a while. If you strengthen the muscles around a joint, it helps to reduce the pressure and shock from day to day living. At least that's what my orthopedist told me.

Good luck.
gahhh i have bad knees to, when ever you do anything like running hiking anything pysical you should wear a knee brace!
wel I heard going on a treadmill too much is bad for ur knees in the longrun
try not to land on your feet hard.try not to run on hard grounds such as cement
Stay off of them.
There are two things you can take to help yourself getting the onset of arthritis and that is glucosamine or Proresolvin. Glucosamine will be easier to get from your health food shop or pharmacy.
