Are heart halpitations dangerous?

Question:

Answers:
I assume you meant palpitation. They themselves aren't too dangerous, but they can be a symptom of a condition that could be very serious. Palpitations are associated with heart problems, but also with anemia and thyroid malfunction. Please see your doctor and get checked out.
Certain rhythms are yes. Some people just have them, and they can scare you BAD.Check with your doctor.
Yes they are. Go to the doctor immediately!! My dad had heart palpations before he died of a heart attack. Not are all that serious, but it's nothing to be messed with. They will do an ultrasound of the heart to check it out, and make you wear a heart monitor for a week. That's what they did with me...but that's also why I'm up so late right now, cause I kept getting them.
I've had them for months, first get your blood pressure checked, I do it every day at the drugstore.
I don't think palpitations means you are having abnormal beats, it just feels that way, but have it checked out.
You didn't say if any tests have been done, I've had several ekg's and an echo gram, it was normal.

Some calcium and magnesium each day can help and get you to sleep better. Avoid all coffee and soft drinks, especially diet coke.
some are some are not.ive had them along time.im guessing you mean a odd beat or flip flop feeling.however it they come alot or shortness of breath or your palse is high or too low ,pain then go to the ER,if you feel worried at all go to the ER.also see a doctor
