Answers:
I live in Corpus Christi too!
They said on the news that it IS safe to shower,
BUT
if you are bathing young children to use bottled water.
They also said to use bottle water if you are washiing dishes, washing your face, or brushing your teeth.

I know HEB Plus is getting a shipment of bottled water at midnight, so if your running low, head over there!

Youch!! You better call the health department on that one. E. Coli is a bad thing to mess with. I am sure that if you have any cuts or scrapes, you can get infected. But I don't know about the rest of the body.

Can you boil water and use it to bathe off with? That would sure be much safer.
no. because it can get into your eyes and anything that gets into your eyes goes into your blood stream and you'll get sick. so im sorry.
try boiling a bunch of water then let it sit untill its hot but not hot enough to burn you. then wash your hair with it. then take a sponge and dip it in the water with some soap and like, take kinda a sponge bath. it might sound weird but if you smell like you havn't showered in months its a risk you have to take
haha
If the water has been infected with E. Coli, I would not take the chance of bathing or showering because if you have an open cut or something you really should not take the chance.

Hopefully the problem will be fixed very soon.
