My budgie wont go in his bird bath?

Question:
is bathing important to the budgie ive had mine a year now and he wont go in the bird bath but he will drink from it i do spray him with my plant sprayer but even that he doesnt like is he likely to get ill because he wont bathe

Answers:
The obvious answer is no, its not important otherwise he would be in the bath. As long as a budgie is preening itself, its keeping clean. Hope this helps.
Perhaps he does like to be watched, leave the room for a while, after all you like to bath in peace.
We had several budgies and some would go in and some wouldn't- even if we physically put them in they got straight back out. I guess they are like us- some of us like a bath and some of us prefer a shower and sadly there are those who don't like water at all.
